Made from predominately Sagrantino and Nero d’Avola grapes with a splash of Aglianico, Uva Di Troia, Teroldego and Piedirosso also included. Dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of morello cherry, plum and liquorice aromas with some earthy incense and dried herb like notes also chiming in. Juicy dark and morello cherry fruits overlay dried herb, subtle earth and spice nuances. Faintly chewy tannins and good freshness with a savoury mid length finish.
