Rich and fleshy textured with chewy tannins firming up the long ripe finish which is underpinned by a beam of freshness.
Valpolicella Ripasso is produced from a blend of Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella. Made in the Ripasso method, where the leftover lees from Amarone is combined and second-fermented with standard Valpolicella wine to create more depth & flavour. The style sits in between the heft of an Amarone and lightness of a Valpolicella.
Dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Pronounced morello cherry, liquorice, dried cherry and plum scents emanate out of the glass. Scorched earth, vanillin spice and cinnamon notes follow on. Rich and fleshy textured, morello cherry, liquorice and dried cherry fruits decorate the medium to full bodied palate. Earth, vanillin spice and cinnamon elements lie beneath. Chewy tannins firm up the long ripe finish which is underpinned by a beam of freshness.
