2022 Calcannia Sangiovese

Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Ripe red currant, cherry and red liquorice scents flow out of the glass with plenty of intensity followed by some vanillin cedar, earth and spicy herbs. Rich and juicy the mid weighted palate is awash with ripe red currant, red liquorice and cherry fruit. Subtle earth and spicy vanillin cedar elements linger underneath. Slightly dryish but otherwise polished tannin structure with a long succulently fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
