Midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Ripe blackcurrant aromas fill the nostrils with some dark to black cherry, liquorice, scorched earth, dried herb, leather and spice notes also evident. Rich juicy blackcurrant and liquorice fruits sit up front with notions of scorched earth, dried herbs and spicy tobacco extending across the back half. Excellent concentration with firm, muscular tannins lending a rustic feel onto the long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
