2022 Alpha Box & Dice Golden Delicioso Semillon

Alpha Box & Dice, located in McLaren Vale, is undertaking a ""Wine Alphabet"" project where each 'letter' represents a distinct winemaking venture, aiming to create a comprehensive collection of wines that showcase the various styles and grape varieties found in the well-known wine regions of South Australia, such as McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, and the Barossa Valley.
Handpicked Semillon (sourced from the Magpie Springs Vineyard in Hope Forest) is fermented 50% as whole bunches, and 50% as destemmed fruit for 14 days on skins, before being pressed to old barrels for 12 months of maturation. The wine is racked a second time into large format barrels for a further 9 months of maturation before being bottled.
