A certified organic and dynamic blend of 53% Grenache, 33% Shiraz and 14% Mourvedre from a single vineyard site in Blewitt Springs planted in 1999. The wine was matured in a mixture of older French oak puncheons and foudre, ceramic eggs and amphora.

A powerful and structured GSM packed with rich, succulent dark fruits.

Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Delightful, gently spiced dark raspberry, liquorice and plum scents enchant the olfactory senses with some subtle earth, vanilla and peppered herb notes ensuing. Rich and succulent yet rock like in its structure, the mid weighted palate is awash with juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits. Spicy vanilla, subtle dried herb and peppered earth characteristics lie underneath. Concentrated and powerful it possesses a refined opulence and polished tannins which have a sturdy underbelly. Finishes fresh, long and amply endowed with dark fruits.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
A single-vineyard Blewitt Springs blend of 53/33/14% grenache/shiraz/mourvèdre. Planted on sand and ironstone soils, the grenache hand picked from bush vines planted in 1946. This is a serious GSM in every way. It's very intense and complex, but it's also seamless and composed, with an orchestra of flavours at its disposal. If this were made in the Rhône, Robert Parker et al. would be going nuts, amongst other things extolling its longevity. As it is, the price here is almost impossible to understand. Black, red and blue berries with spices from Asia and South America. Drink by 2046.
