2021 Yalumba Vine Vale Grenache

Sourced from a vineyard planted in 1949, separated into two blocks. The first block included 100% whole bunch fruit whilst the second block only included 30% whole bunch fruit. The final blend matured for 8 months in older French oak puncheons. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Pronounced spicy dark raspberry, cherry and red liquorice aromas are trailed by scorched earth, dried meat, herbs and blackpepper notes. Rich, juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and ripe cherry fruits flood the mouth with scorched earth, peppered meat and dried herb elements lying underneath. Fleshy textural feel with polished tannins. Terrific power and depth finishing long, generously fruited and spicy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
