2021 Wilson Watervale Riesling

From the blue ribbon calcareous soils of Watervale where shards of limestone dot the red soil, the Wilson Watervale Riesling is picked at the earliest level of maturity to give a light, fresh and fruit forward style.
Brilliant water like core with a greenish tinged outskirts. Intense lime and citrus aromas jump out of the glass with green apple, subtle orange rind, talc and flinty mineral notes also present. Mouthfilling lime and citrus fruits show superb concentration underpinned by orange rind, talc and steely mineral elements. Fresh crunchy acidity gives the palate plenty of zingy appeal. Finishes dry with a long scrumptious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
