2021 West Cape Howe Book Ends Cabernet Sauvignon

A rich, medium to full bodied Cabernet with robust tannins imparting a grippy feel across the finish.

Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced spicy blackcurrant aromas infused with black olive intermingle with vanillin cedar, tobacco and bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant, liquorice and black cherry fruits show excellent concentration across the medium to full bodied palate. Cigar box, earth, black olive and spice elements underpin the fruit. Robust tannins impart a grippy feel across the medium to long finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

An excellent wine from the 2021 vintage, which in Mount Barker delivered beautiful cool climate fruit with richness, concentration and supreme balance. Classic varietal characters of blackcurrant and dark plum with a touch of black cherry open on the nose, followed by a supple palate with a structural core contributing to its long finish. It's the most stylish expression of Mount Barker cabernet.
