2021 Water Wheel Bendigo Chardonnay

This Chardonnay was barrel fermented in French oak puncheons and demi-muid with extended lees contact and battonage to promote texture. Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of ripe peach and apricot intermix with some honeycomb, crème brulee and bacon fat notes. Rich and creamy textured the palate sports ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours which overlay a crème brulee and spicy bacon fat back drop. Finishes with a lick of freshness on the generously rounded aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
