2021 Vanguardist La Petite Vanguard Corsair

A blend of Tinta Barrola, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz matured in seasoned barriques for 9 months. Dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Attractive dark raspberry, liquorice and dark plum scents intermingle with scorched earth and dried herb notes. Juicy black cherry and liquorice fruits are backed by a firm, rustic tannin structure and lively acidity. Meaty mouth feel with earthy incense like characters and peppered dried herb elements also present. Vibrant, robust conclusion yet amply fruited.
