2021 Turkey Flat Butchers Block Shiraz

Turkey Flat’s Butchers Block range of wines are designed for earlier drinking – loaded with rich blue to black fruits and a juicy texture, this Shiraz delivers terrific value from the great 2021 vintage. Fermented with 15% whole bunch fruit and matured in only older oak.

A rich, succulent Barossa Shiraz primed for drinking.

Inky black heart with a deep dark purple hue. The nose offers up an attractive aromatic profile of blackberry, blueberry and liquorice scents subtlety infused with clove. Fennel and peppered herb notes also chime in. Rich, meaty and fleshy textured the delicious mid weighted palate is redolent in succulent blackberry, liquorice and blueberry fruits with subtle fennel, scorched earth and peppered herb elements flowing onto the back half. Excellent depth, nicely balanced freshness and a polished yet sturdy tannin structure. The aftertaste long and juicy.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

A very strong vintage for Barossa Shiraz. Gets 15% whole bunch and only old oak.
Black fruit, meaty and spicy, but lively. Medium to full-bodied, a juicy core of black fruit, layered in with spice and meaty savoury flavours, fine grained tannin, and a finish of good length. Such a good expression of Barossa Shiraz. So well balanced. And value! Drink 2023-2028+
