2021 Torbreck Woodcutter’s Roussanne Marsanne Viognier

A blend of 43% Roussanne, 42% Marsanne and 15% Viognier with the Marsanne and Viognier components aged on lees in seasoned French oak barriques for 6 months. Roussanne provides structure and finesse, the Marsanne gives the wine palate texture and richness, whist the Viognier gives the nose a pure, floral lift. A brilliant water like core is surrounded by glimmering green tones. Elevated ripe peach, lime and apricot scents mix with hints of honeysuckle and spice. Luscious ripe pear, peach and apricot fruits are underpinned by fresh acidity with some light honeysuckle and spice characters making an appearance on the back half. Finishes dry with a lick of spice to the long exotic aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
