2021 Toolangi Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak of which 5% was new for a period of 10 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. Fragrant scents of violets, dark cherries, strawberries and subtle anise emanate from the glass followed by forest floor, dried herb and spicy cedar notes. Delicious ripe dark cherry and strawberry fruits overlay a delicate back drop of forest floor, dried herbs and spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with silky tannins. Finishes with a savoury mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

A small portion of whole bunches (5%) and 10 months in French oak (5% new). A light, bright cherry red in the glass with aromas of violets, rose petal and red fruits. Light on its feet, yet with good depth and persistence. A smashable and well-priced pinot to drink now and over the next two to three years. Drink by 2024.
