2021 The Other Wine Co. Pinot Gris

Fermented in stainless steel with 4 months on lees. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green to the outskirts and a watery hue. Pear and green apple scents are followed by hints of lime and subtle musk notes. Nicely textured, delicious pear, red apple and dried honey flavours roll around the mouth showing excellent intensity. Finishes dry with fresh acidity, the long aftertaste picking up delicate spicy musk ascents.
Drink over the next year.

A pale colour leads to a beautifully expressive and enticing wine with aromas of biting into a fresh pear with a musky, spicy lift. There’s intensity, precision and energy to the fruit that is hard to ignore. The palate is then bright and fresh, with crisp acidity plus a touch of sweetness with that fresh pear fruit now offset by more savoury gentle lees influences before a drying, pithy finish. Fans of New Zealand pinot gris will be well impressed. Drink 2021-2024.
