The Teusner story begins in 2001 when Kym overheard Steve Riebke (a 5th generation grape grower) and his brother Leon lamenting the fact that their 90 year old Grenache vineyard was due for destruction. A plan was hatched, some money scratched together, a vineyard was saved and a winery was born with the first release of Teusner Joshua in 2002.
Today, Teusner still focuses on the ancient vines which make the Barossa so unique. Vineyards up to 130 years of age are sourced from across the Barossa, taking full advantage of the diverse range of terroirs the region has to offer.

A rich and luxurious GSM blend that’s a power house of flavour.

The 2021 vintage is a blend of 55% Grenache and 35% Mataro from 100 year old vines located in the Ebenezer sub region and 10% Shiraz from 20 year old vines located in the Gomersal district. Very deep black dark red core with a bright dark red hue. Intoxicating the olfactory senses is an exotic mix of dark raspberry, blueberry, red liquorice and wild herb scents with subtle earth, vanilla pod and spice ensuing. Rich and luxurious in its feel, the medium to full bodied palate is a power house of succulent dark raspberry, ripe cherry, red liquorice and blueberry fruits. Spicy vanilla and subtle earth characters the underbelly. Magnificent intensity and depth with silky smooth tannins leading into a long opulent yet fresh finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
