Matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months. Impenetrable super saturated inky black colour with an equally deep black dark red hue. Heady ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry scents sail out of the glass followed by spicy vanillin oak, scorched earth and blackpepper notes. Exceptionally rich and luscious the decadent palate is awash with succulent dark plum, liquorice and black cherry fruits. Bright youthful acidity with vanillin cedar, subtle scorched earth and blackpepper characters lying underneath. Boasting liqueur like concentration and outstanding power, a muscular tannin structure is largely concealed by the sheer volume of fruit. Long, chewy, deeply fruited conclusion.
