Slightly hazy red colour with black toned edges and a light red hue. Fragrant rose petal, red cherry and strawberry scents are intertwined with dried clove, forest floor and spiced meats. Light and very supple in its feel the palate is decorated with red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits which meld into a clove, forest floor and spicy cedar back drop. Fresh acidity with a subtle amaro twist. Refined and polished with silky tannins it finishes long, savoury and elegant.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews….
Among the highest elevation vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula, basalt-derived and non-irrigated. Very good mid-weighted pinot noir, hedging its structural hand with a card of typical strawberry succulence and fruit sweetness, a tingle of whole bunch garden herb thrums against a birdcage of wiry, yet svelte tannin, compressing any overlay of fruit into a sense of savoriness and tension. A little sweet, to be churlish, but New World drinkers will find it far more moreish than most. There is a great deal to like about this promising inaugural release, while looking forward to future ones. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
