2021 Smith & Hooper Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Matured for 11 months in French oak barriques of which 9% were new.
Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive and mulberry are followed by cigar box, dried herb and spice end notes. Rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits are underscored by notions of black olive, cigar box and spicy dried herb characters. Medium bodied it has a fine grained yet relatively firm tannin structure and possesses excellent concentration. Amply powered it finishes long with a sturdy yet refined feel.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
