The Seabrook family have a long history in the Australian wine industry, dating back to 1878 when William Seabrook established one of Australia’s earliest wine merchants, W.J. Seabrook & Son. Today, fifth generation member Hamish Seabrook carries on the tradition. After graduating from Adelaide University with a bachelor of Oenology, Hamish went on to work and make wine for Best’s Great Western where industry legend Viv Thomson took him under his wing. After several other senior winemaking roles, Hamish went on to establish his own brand continuing the families long involvement in the wine industry.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from Seabrook’s Home Block vineyard located on the eastern ridge of Barossa Valley. The rows are orientated north south and the vineyard captures most of the afternoon sun, this coupled with the aspect, allow perfect conditions for early ripening. Matured for 24 months in barrel.

A rich, decadently charged Barossa Shiraz that’s voluptuously textured and loaded with lavish fruit.

Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady scents of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and mocha which are complimented by vanillin oak, earthy dark chocolate and spicy fennel notes. Rich, voluptuously textured and possessing pedal to the metal power the palate is saturated with plush dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and blackberry flavours. Echoing through the back half are notions of vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spicy fennel elements. Silky smooth tannins. The finish long, decadently charged and opulent.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
