2021 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

Matured in new to 4 year old French oak barriques for 12 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. Escaping from the glass are aromas of ripe nectarine and pear which intermingle with dried honey, biscuity oak, nougat and spice along the way. Rich and creamy textured in the mouth the palate is flooded with fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits. Subtle dried honey characters, biscuity nougat, traces of crème brulee and spicy cashew also chime in. Finishes with good freshness, volume and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
