2021 Scorpo Rose

Translucent salmon pink in colour. Aromas of peach, raspberry and strawberry fill the nostrils followed by some blood orange and subtle stony mineral notes. Vibrant and savoury the palate features water melon and blood orange fruits over hints of strawberry and stony mineral elements. Nicely rounded it finishes dry with a crisp edge to the acidity and a refreshingly tangy aftertaste.

Is it the aroma or texture that make this such a compelling drink? Well, probably both. It’s an attractive pale coppery pink for starters. Wafts of black pepper, aniseed and red cherries with watermelon and rind set things rolling. It’s juicy, tangy and vibrant, yet there’s texture too, and lithe, light tannins. This is a top-notch, totally delicious rosé. Drink by 2023.
