Led by winemaker Elvio Forato, Savardo is the largest and most highly regarded cooperative in the region. Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks with 5 months spent on lees. Brilliant water like colour with a faint tinge of green around the edges. Delightful pear, red apple, subtle dried honey and musk like scents fill the nostrils. Delicious pear, red apple and light musk flavours are beautifully rounded texturally and show ample intensity. Stony back drop finishing dry and fresh with a long moreish aftertaste that has a slippery feel to it.
