2021 Running with Bulls Tempranillo

Matured for 8 months in a mixture of new and mature Hungarian oak hogsheads. Dense midnight black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Inviting ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas show ample intensity with notions of scorched earth and subtle spicy leather notes also evident. Rich and generously weighted the palate is awash with lush black cherry and liquorice fruits which are backed by a sturdy tannin structure. Notions of scorched earth, subtle leather and spice also chime in. Ripe chewy mouthfeel showing plenty of depth with a long robust black fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Consistently one of my favorite value for money red wines. It really captures so much about the engaging drinking qualities of this variety with a spicy cola character on the nose merging into the black fruits, while the palate delivers with a plush mix of dark chocolate and wild berry. It’s also soft and velvety with a smooth succulent mouth feel. Drink 2022-2026.
