2021 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay

Aged in French and American oak. Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. The nose is filled with aromas of ripe peach, honeycomb, bacon fat, crème brulee, hints of butterscotch and spice. Rich, round and heavy across the palate, luscious peach and honeycomb flavours are underscored by a prominent toasty vanillin oak component. Some spicy butterscotch is also evident. Creamy textured, a strong toasty oak character dominates the lingering finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
