2021 Riposte The Cutlass Shiraz

Fifty percent whole bunch fermented with maturation taking place in French oak barriques of which 35% were new. Midnight black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Lifted black cherry and liquorice aromas are intermeshed with smoky cedar, peppered meats and scorched earth. Medium bodied the palate features fleshy dark plum and red liquorice fruits over a vanillin cedar, scorched earth and peppered meats back drop. Very polished tannin structure and nicely integrated acidity with a long deliciously savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
