Semi translucent red to dark red colour with a light red hue. Intense spicy dried clove like notes dominate the nose with hints of violets, dark cherries, wild strawberries, forest floor and cedar also evident. Making a supple entrance are spicy dark cherry and wild strawberry fruits which are overlaid by prominent dried clove elements on the back half. Some forest floor and brambly dried herb characters also chime in. Fine grained tannins with a lingering spice and smoky dried clove conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.8%

Other Reviews…..
This is a particularly autumnal pinot noir. It's all undergrowth and earth, tobacco leaf and complex cherry, with roasted nut and fragrant herb characters in the mix too. All these flavours are rolling out logically and well, already, but it has all the traits to go to another level again with an extra handful of years under its belt. Drink by 2034.
