2021 Pindarie The Risk Taker Tempranillo

Aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Springing out of the glass are aromas of black cherry and liquorice followed by some dark plum, scorched earth, dried herbs and spice. Rich luscious black cherry and liquorice fruits are backed by a sturdy tannin structure which imparts a slightly chewy mouth feel. Notions of scorched earth, dried meats and spice also chime in. Generously endowed with black fruits and amply fleshed it finishes long, ripe and quite savoury.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
