2021 Paringa Estate Peninsula Pinot Noir

Fruit for Paringa Estate’s Peninsula Pinot are sourced from their own vineyards in Red Hill, and from a few other carefully selected vineyards around the Peninsula. Fruit was 100% de-stemmed and fermented in 2.5 tonne open fermenters where it spent an average of 21 days on skins. Maturation took place over 11 months on lees in French Oak barrels.
Semi translucent bright red to dark red colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. Perfumed like aromas of violets, red cherries and winter strawberries fill the nostrils with some subtle anise, forest floor and spicy cedar notes also chiming in. Light in weight but expansive, delicious ripe cherry and strawberry fruits are both fresh and supple in their feel across the palate. Evident on the back half are some spicy anise, fresh herb infusions and light forest floor characters. Silky tannin structure with the long red fruited aftertaste carrying a sense of vibrancy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
