2021 Nicks Secret TTN Cabernet Sauvignon

From a renown McLaren Vale winery, this brilliant value Cabernet was sourced from vines aged between 25 and 50 years old. Each parcel of fruit was harvested and handled separately. After fermenting on skins for 10 days, the fruit was transferred to a combination of new (15%), second- and third-use French oak barrels where it was matured for 15 months.

Deeply fruited and concentrated yet refined, this Cabernet delivers terrific bang for your buck.

Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Sailing through the olfactory senses are ripe blackcurrant aromas infused with a mix of black olive and tobacco notes. Spicy vanillin cedar, earth, mulberry and bay leaf notes also chime in. Rich, fleshy blackcurrant and ripe mulberry fruits are intermeshed with cedary tobacco, infusions of bay leaf, subtle earthy black olive and spice elements. Seamlessly integrated fine grained tannins provide ample structure. Excellent concentration and depth with a long deeply fruited yet refined finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Gorgeously composed and expressed, the wine shows blackcurrant, dark cherry, dried herb and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The palate is equally satisfying with succulent fruit intensity combined with fine texture and chalky tannins, making it wonderfully harmonious and structured. At its best: now to 2033.
