Rich and powerful this is a classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon that demonstrates strong varietal character.

A superb follow up to our 2019 Nicks Secret McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon with maturation taking place in French oak hogsheads (20% new) for a period of 19 months.
Magnificent colour saturation featuring an impenetrable inky black heart along with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense blackcurrant aromas engulf the olfactory senses complimented by cedary tobacco characters, dried herb, hints of black olive and spice scents. Rich, concentrated and possessing strong varietal character, lashings of blackcurrant fruit drench the medium to full bodied palate with notions of liquorice, cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and spicy black olives lingering underneath. Ripe chewy tannins impart a sturdy feel and provide an excellent framework. Concludes deep, long and refined with classical Cabernet Sauvignon structure.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

A wonderful expression of the variety, it's splendidly aromatic on the nose showing cassis, tobacco, warm spice and cedary oak characters. The palate delivers excellent focus and drive, superbly enhanced by refined texture and loads of fine-grained tannins. Immensely complex and persistent.
