2021 Mount Macleod Chardonnay

Certified Organic this Chardonnay was wild-fermented, then raised un-sulphured on its lees for 20 months in neutral wooden barrels which have previously housed the Caledonia Australis Chardonnay.

Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Intense yellow peach and apricot scents are married to honeycomb, hints of crème brulee, spicy nougat and butterscotch. Rich creamy like flavours of ripe peach, apricot and subtle honeycomb overlay a crème brulee and spicy nougat back drop. Concludes with good freshness and a long generous, fleshy textured aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
