A more elegant and spicier nose freely offers up its aromas of black cherry, violet and ripe plum. The finer and attractively energetic flavors exude evident minerality on the dusty and almost chalky finale that is also noticeably austere. Drink through 2028+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

A reasonably full purple and attractively perfumed on the nose, the floral side of raspberry. There is a light wood reduction too, as not yet racked. Shows even more on the palate, with some tannins too. Still, there is plenty to this Gevrey and once it has reached the right moment for bottling, I think we shall have a good wine. This may be a conservative assessment now. Drink from 2025-2030.
