2021 Mayer Volcanic Pinot Noir

The pinot for this new range was sourced from Lusatia Park. 100% destemmed and matured in 300L French oak hogsheads (25% new). At the more delicate end of the Yarra pinot spectrum, but not lacking depth or structure either. There are aromas of cranberries, pomegranate, strawberries and delicate spice. The palate is equally pretty, with fine, chalky tannins rounding out a wine that, while good now, will become even more complex in another 2 or 3 years. Drink by 2029.
