2021 Levantine Hill Pinot Noir

Perfumed nose with a gorgeously silky palate finishing long, complex and savoury.

Translucent red core with black toned edges and a light red tinged hue. Displaying a perfumed like lift out of the glass, captivating rose petal, wild cherry, strawberry and rhubarb aromas are complexed by clove, brambly cedar, forest floor and spice notes. Light on it’s feet and gorgeously silky in its flow across the palate, wild cherry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours are seamlessly meshed with brambly cedar, dried herb, forest floor and spice elements. Elegant and polished with velvet smooth tannins. A lick fresh acidity is threaded through the long savoury and complex finish.

Handpicked and destemmed before stalks were added back to selected parcels to generate complexity. These Estate pinots from Levantine emanate the prettiest perfume of purple flowers. Deeply enticing with dried orange rind, souk-like spices, raspberry and alpine berries. Tannins are finely woven, binding both savoury and fruit elements together. The steady thrum of turned earth and leaf litter, maitake mushroom and the gentle buzz of white pepper make for studious lessons in graceful tension. Drink by 2034.
