2021 Les Dauphins Cotes du Rhone Grenache Syrah

Medium bodied with juicy black fruits, slightly chewy tannins and a savoury finish.

A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Deep dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Emanating out of the glass are dark raspberry and cherry aromas infused with herbs du Provence. Some liquorice and peppered earth notes are also evident. Juicy black raspberry and liquiorice fruits carry medium body weight over a scorched earth and peppered dried herb background. Slightly chewy tannins with a savoury mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Cracking value for a full flavoured French red from the Rhône Valley, this is 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The colour is that of a dark, bruised plum. Aromas swirl through smoked meats, dark berries, warm earth, plums, soy, cloves and leather. The wine has freshness, focus and good persistence with fine tannins. Enjoy it over the next four to five years. Cracking value. Drink 2024-2029.
