2021 Lenton Brae Wilyabrup Chardonnay

Fermented and then matured in 1 year old French hogsheads on lees for 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose offers up a mixture of nectarine, dried honey and subtle lemon butter notes followed by some bees wax and biscuity oak. The mid weighted palate features fleshy nectarine, pear and subtle bees wax characters over some lemon butter and spicy cashew. Finishes dry with a lick of freshness on the refined mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
