2021 Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch Wild Ferment Chardonnay
Bright straw colour with a glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and pear aromas have a toasty overlay with some bees wax, lemon butter and spice notes also evident. Rich, fleshy textured nectarine, pear and dried honey flavours meld into a roasted almond, lemon butter and spice back drop. Fullish mouth feel with ample concentration and a long cream tinged finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 13.1%
Other Reviews…..
Wild fermentation in oak brings an engaging textural quality in addition to the wine's naturally cool climate-driven and flinty edge. Peach, pear, citrus and a light nuttiness with brisk acidity and a lovely build of flavour through to the finish. Tempting to drink now – very much so – but modest bottle ageing is also possible. Drink by 2028.
