2021 Kalleske Clarry’s GSM

A certified organic and biodynamic blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. The oldest Grenache block dates back to the 1940’s with remaining vines varying in age up to fifty years old. In order to preserve the fresh fruit flavours ageing takes place only in very old oak hogsheads for a period of 4 months.
Impenetrable inky black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Alluring scents of dark raspberries, liquorice and black cherries are complimented by some scorched earth, dried herb and peppered fennel notes. The rich, rollicking palate is awash with seductive dark raspberry, liquorice and blackberry fruits which meld into some vanillin confectionary, subtle scorched earth and peppered fennel characters. Excellent concentration with an opulent texture counterpointed by bright, youthful acidity. Polished yet sturdy tannins concluding long, juicy and fresh.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
