2021 Kaesler Reach for the Sky Shiraz

The fruit for this wine was sourced from a vineyard that was planted using cuttings taken from the Old Bastard and Alte Reben vineyards.
Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Flooding the nostrils are attractive ripe dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents which are trailed by vanillin cedar and earthy fennel like notes. Generously weighted and rich, juicy dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits show a fleshy texture across the lavish palate. Vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth elements linger through the plush finish. Velvet smooth tannins with just the right amount of freshness on the long opulent aftertaste.
