Notes from Producer....
The perfect “luncheon Claret” this blend is a combination of the three Cabernet Sauvignon sites I now work with, Dash Farm, Shay’s Flat and Balgownie. Cedar and cassis from Dash Farm combine with graphite, scrub bush and glace cherry from Shay’s Flat, while the Balgownie component adds depth, structure and seriousness. Decant now or cellar into the medium term.

Other Reviews....
Spring cabernet, what a thing that is. It is (courtesy of Josh Cooper text message) 50% Farady Cab free run (cold site), 30% Shays Flat (Pyrenees) and 20% Balgownie pressings. All of this in old oak.
Ripper. Tightly wound, perfect Claret-like weight, aromas, prettiness, structure, florals, tannins and dark fruit n alpine herbal lift. Sits in the palate beautifully, gently, so fresh and fine and lively. Some greenery here, but for me, refreshment factor is how i see it. A fine web of lacy, talc-like tannin. Such a good wine.
