2021 Jericho Selected Vineyard Grenache
Matured in seasoned French oak. Dark red core with black toned edges and a light red hue. Fragrant peppery red to dark raspberry and red liquorice scents mix with crushed rock and vanillin spice notes. Succulent dark raspberry and red liquorice fruits flood the mouth with crushed rock, vanillin spice and pepper elements lingering through the back half. Silky smooth tannins with good underlying freshness and a long spicy red fruited conclusion sprinkled with pepper.
Delicious drinking over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
Exactly what is needed at this sort of pricing: an unadulterated flow of kirsch, lilac, bergamot and white pepper, unraveling across a twine of gently spicy tannins, sandy and detailed. The inaugural release from a recently purchased vineyard. A burst of Blewitt Springs freshness punctuates the finish. Vinous, energetic and immensely fresh, this is old-vine material handled with aplomb. Crafted for an hedonic immediacy. Just chill a bit and pour. Drink by 2023.
