2021 JC’s Own Bluebird Grenache

A blend of different parcels of Grenache sourced from 70 year old bush vines in the Riverland, 120 year old bush vines in the Barossa and 20 year old vines in Adelaide Hills. Deep dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant red raspberry and sour to red cherry scents have a leathery overlay with some aromatic herb and pepper notes also evident. Energetic red raspberry and red cherry fruits infused with fresh herbs are underpinned by slightly sour edged like acidity with some earthy graphite and pepper characters lingering on the back half.
Polished tannins with a bright red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
