2021 Iron Cloud Rock of Solitude Chardonnay

Located in the picturesque Ferguson Valley, in the hills of Geographe wine region, Ironcloud Estate was established by three lifelong friends and business partners in 2003. The single vineyard estate was planted to Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Viognier in 1999.
Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and nectarine scents are married to a combination of dried honey and biscuity oak with some nougat and spice also present. Rich fleshy white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours flow across the palate with a beautifully textured feel. Biscuity oak, nougat and spice elements add further interest. Finishes dry with a balanced freshness and long generously weighted aftertaste that has a cream tinged feel to it. An excellent intensely flavoured Chardonnay.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
