2021 Ingram Road Chardonnay
Aged in French oak barriques. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Nosing offers up aromas of peach, pear, subtle dried honey and biscuity oak infused with gun flint. The elegant mid weighted palate features white peach and pear flavours over citrus, very faint cashew and stony mineral elements. Finishes dry with ample freshness to the medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Other Reviews….
This is from an east-facing and sloping block. Selectiv' harvested and whole-berry pressed, wild-yeast fermented and matured in used French barriques; 25% taken through mlf. Its sense of place is imposed loud and clear, with a classic white peach and citrus blend leading the way, supported by nuances of cashew. A very good wine that has the precision expected from a great vintage, and will grow in leaps and bounds through to the end of this decade. Drink by 2029.
