2021 Indigo Vineyard Secret Village Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, subtle dried honey and grapefruit are intermeshed with delicate biscuity nougat and gun flint notes. Mid weighted and possessing a gentle creamy feel, the palate is decorated with white peach and nectarine fruits which overlay a grapefruit tinged back drop of dried honey, biscuity oak and gun flint. Fresh acidity finishing long and highly refined.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Hand-picked and destemmed fruit, wild-yeast fermented in barrel and matured 10 months in French oak (44% new). A fair dose of Beechworth class to this chardonnay, with signature purity of fruit and great concentration. Presents a restrained, steely backbone embracing grapefruit, lemon, lime zest and white peach, with alluring hints of flint and spice. An emerging complexity is apparent together with a hazelnut-almond savouriness. Altogether, it's got age on its side. Drink by 2031.
