2021 Hill-Smith Estate Eden Valley Chardonnay

Matured for 6 months in fine grained French oak barriques. Brilliant pale straw colour with distinct highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and nectarine scents are intermeshed with subtle biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and light gun flint notes. Light to medium weight with a fresh yet nicely rounded feel across the palate, nectarine and delicate white peach flavours overlay faint dried honey, citrus, nougat and traces of gun flint. Finishes dry with brisk yet well integrated acidity and a relatively elegant mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
