2021 Henschke Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris

Sourced from a vineyard grown by David and Annette Innes at Littlehampton in the Adelaide Hills this delightful Pinot Gris was fermented in stainless steel and held on lees in tank for 6 months with regular stirring to build complexity and texture.
Brilliant water like colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts. The nose features pear and red apple skin aromas over subtle honeysuckle, musk and wet stone notes. Beautifully textured, delicious pear and apple fruits glide across the palate with a slippery feel to deliver a moreish drinking experience. In the background are subtle infusions of musk, wet stone and delicate ginger spice. Brisk acidity concluding with wonderful intensity and length.

This is a very fresh and concentrated gris with a wealth of white and yellow peaches and wet stones. The palate is so well judged in terms of ripeness, and balances so well with long and soft, peachy fruit flesh. Very easy to like. Drink now. Screw cap.
