An agreeably pure nose offers up notes of cool red pinot fruit cut with hints of earth and forest floor. The sleek, delicious and tension-filled medium weight flavors also display excellent cut though not the same refinement or persistence on the moderately austere finale. Some patience will be required as this is presently fairly tightly wound. Drink through 2029+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

Not so deep in colour nor so expressive on the nose. There is power on the plate with a long spicy finish and a thread of acidity. Tough to come after the Caillerets though, and the Clos Blanc is from relatively young vines. Drink from 2026-2032.
