2021 Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Syrah

Includes 30% whole bunch with maturation taking place in French oak barrels (20% new) for a period of 12 months. Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Expressive black cherry, liquorice and blueberry scents intermix with dried herb, smoked meat and peppered earth notes. Rich blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and ripe blueberry fruits are layered across the medium to full bodied palate with a lush, polished feel. Dried herb, smoked meat and pepper characters lie underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a long finish that’s well endowed with plush fruits.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
